Alp Blossom

by Hofkäserei Kraus und Kaeskuche. Product of Germany.

We think the this is truly the most beautiful cheese in the world! Alp Blossom is a semi-hard cow’s milk cheese that is coated in a confetti of 13 difference dried summer flowers and herbs from the surrounding Alpine Mountain meadows. A delicate dusting of cornflower, marigold, rose petals, lavender, chervil, and marjoram (to name a few) make it the most well-dressed cheese you’ve ever set your eyes on!⁣

⁣Alp Blossom is produced at a cooperative creamery in Austria and made from milk of animals of small farms who have grazed in high mountain pastures. The cheese is aged for about 6 months and then shipped just across the border to Germany where the floral coating is applied by hand.⁣

Ingredients: raw cow's milk, salt, cornflower, marigold, rose, lavender, parsley, rosemary, garlic, savory, sea salt, onion, oregano, paprika, cultures, rennet. CONTAINS: MILK

One of the most impressive and delicious cheeses I have tasted in a long time

I absolutely adore this cheese!
For me, the taste is reminiscent of a slightly creamier Conté or Gruyere. I say taste, because it's still a more firm cheese like those are. The taste is just creamier. And, add to that the wonderful flavor of all the wildflower blossoms that are seeping through from the rind! It was an amazing taste, and quite a treat!
I sincerely looked forward to eating this cheese when it was in my fridge. It's an extra special treat of taste, for sure!

Pretty and tasty

One of the prettiest-looking cheeses out there. Love the taste too. Umami and flowers, with slight Alpine sweetness.

Alp Blossom

I shared this and your other cheeses. Everyone loved alp Blossom the best. I served it plain or they could spread a little Quince jam on a cracker along with the cheese. I personally like prosciutto or Bundnerfleish with the chews or an apple. Wonderful thanks to you. Thank you.
